Kisi ne kaha tha ki sukoon pahado me milta he
Phoolo ke gulshan, rang ke pitaro me milta he
Jin galiyo ki chahal pehal se sheher goonjte he
Are Un shehro ke hi to bazaro me milta he
Gum to hua tha me bhi unn bazaro me
Pyaar karne laga tha sheher ke unn kinaro me
Sukoon se bhara ye manzar hua karta tha
Apni zindagi jo basa li thi un muskaano me
Ab ye sheher or galiya goonjti kaha he
Unn bazaaro se sukoon kahi door so gaya he
Shayad pahado me hi gum hona sahi tha
Vo insaan to ab khud gum
ho gaya he.
