Falling

Human

I can see you

Falling through the sky

smoke trails add to the veiw

Of you come down from on high

Were you meant to fall

To descend down to earth?

Or did chance make the call

Did it decide your worth?

Now you are obscured from me

The clouds mixing with your smoke

I strain to find a trace of thee

But the clouds above remain unbroke

Again you fall alone

Again you gaze at fate

A fate that chills the bone

A fate for you alone

  • Comment from author about the poem: As I was sitting in the back seat of a car, I saw it. A streak of smoke across the sky, slowly making it\\\'s way downward. I watched it for a long time, until clouds blocked my view. I decided to write my own idea of what it could have been.
