The Art of the Broken

Saurav Banerjee

I want to meet the broken healed hearts,

That refused to give up, instead, now are creating arts!

Who kept walking, with glass pieces stuck in their feet,

Bleeding, still smiling, despite the adversaries they meet.

I want to hear their stories that are yet untold,

And feel their courage, which is forever uncontrolled.

I want to meet ’em where nights were horrifyingly dark,

But they didn’t let those nights dim their bright spark.

Their dreams are built by shattered glass,

They turned wounds into wisdom, did let the pain pass.

Now I see ’em, they are standing tall with their hearts unsealed,

They are the living proof that e’en the broken can be healed.
