Dead Soldier

Maplespal

Dead Soldier

I promise I won’t trust you again,

won't follow your orders anymore.

This organization is now a dark stain,

never to be the same like before,

not a part of the same team anymore.

I don’t trust you, haven’t you heard,

not a soldier like I was before.

Discouraged from believing your word.

I wasn't in this for any rewards score,

not the medals or stupid coins given.

Now no inspiration like I had before,

I’m a dead soldier currently living.

I am independently now uniformed,

self-intended and I’m singularly played.

Forgetting the man this life has formed,

a dead soldier, now I’m walking away.
