I forgive you
For all the nasty names you called
All the cold, heartless things you did
I forgive you
For the times you put your hands on me
The many times you threatened you would
I forgive you
For making me feel worthless
All your hate had me feeling so useless
I forgive you
For all the times you cheated and lied
The nights you left me alone with the babies
Wondering why as I would cry
I forgive you
For saying you were going to end my life
In the end realizing I still wouldn't stay
So you would threaten your own
I forgive you
For never letting me leave
Constantly using the kids as a trap
All the times you said I was a good mother
Then changing faces saying I'm not
I forgive you
For knowing my past and then using it against me
Never knowing how you could do the same things to me
Now please forgive me
For saying I love you
I never knew how to love myself
To love you was an impossible task
I was only a little girl
Too naive to know the truth
So tell me now
Who Tore My Soul Apart
Me or was it you?
