R. Gordon Zyne

11

I thought I’d find you

in the bright fields of morning

but you hide in dust

12

in forgotten dreams

whispering through empty streets

where hope clings to pain

13

here light meets shadow

where brokenness still believes

it can find a way

14

in this darkened place

I trace the shape of absence

like a blind man's touch

15

I know you are near

a soft glow at the edge of

despair’s quiet song
