The Devil's Game

sunshine777

Never accepted

Always rejected

His heart knowing nothing else

Then to turn cold

He wanted them to hurt

His soul decided to fold

The devil had gotten ahold of his mind

Making him feel sorry for himself

Life has been so unkind

So hard to love

Blind to see the blessings

That shone from above

His soul was out of control

God sent him an angel

Someone to see through

His heart of coal

He hurt her

Neglected her from the very start

There was no shame on his soul

When he ripped her apart

Once a social butterfly

Was turned to someone

Who locked herself in the bathroom

Just so she could cry

She now carried his shame

Shoulders slouched

Her back carries his cross

She gave into The Devil's Game
