When silence screams

Serene

Silence is so loud, it fills my head,
With racing thoughts that keep me awake in bed.
It hurts so deep inside,
When I can’t control what’s outside.

People search for peace in quiet,
But for me, peace brings a riot.
In the stillness, fears appear,
And silence is what I fear.

Each moment of quiet feels like a fight,
In the stillness, I'm haunted throughout the night.
Noise is what helps me sleep,
While silence makes my worries creep.

I chase the noise, not the calm,
Noise wraps me up like a warm palm.
Noise distracts me from the pain,
Noise keeps me steady, keeps me sane.

Silence steals my joy away,
But noise brings comfort every day.
When I go, don’t wish for peace,
Just let me rest where noise won’t cease.
