Consistence

yellowisacolor

Stars are consistent.
Since I was young,
The stars always came at night.

When I was happy,
The stars were a beautiful gaze.
When I was sad,
The stars put me to sleep.
When I was depressed,
The stars told me stories.
When I didn't think I'd make it until morning,
The stars put me in a trance
Until the sun could prove I survived.

I've never known consistency other than the stars.
At times they were my only friend-
My confidant.
They've always kept my secrets.
They never judged.

Every night they return,
And sparkle as I speak.
They remind me I'm not alone:
That there's something that will always come back.

The stars give me hope;
They give me relief.
I always know they'll be there-
No matter what I do or say.

Stars are consistent.
