She smiles at me
I’m smiling back
But does she see?
Her smile rips right through me
Her eyes they make me go crazy
Her spirit can lift me up
I can reach the sky
Does she know,
She’s all I see when I close my eyes?
My heart’s stained the stage light floor,
Her smile’s a language I’ve not heard before
Her eyes are a starlight blue,
Mine deepen, and say, ‘I’m in love with you’
My hands shake as I hold her tight,
I stroke her hair, and in my arms, she cries
I tell her things will be alright
Can’t she see the love that’s in my eyes?
She’s the reason that the sun comes out
To light the day
The only one that keeps me dreaming
When dreams seem to fade away
She’s the light in my eyes
The only one I think about at night
She talks to me
I try to reply
But I can’t speak
We’re in a crowd
Background volume loud
Despite the sound, your lullaby seems to always drown them out
I wish you all the luck
Go on and light the sky
I have to let you go
Though this is really hard
I know I have to say goodbye
She is the sweetest one I know,
She enters stages, and a warm light glows
I watch as she’s taken by her soul,
She loves her heart out, and passion shows
My hands shake as I hold her tight,
I hold her hands, and in my arms, she cries
She dreams she’ll be alright,
Dries her eyes, and stands up to the skies
She’ll dream until her life is over,
And when she wakes she’ll live within the stars,
She’ll pack her heart and then,
The loving starts again
Know your worth, and you’ll go far
Know your worth, and you’ll go far
You’re the reason that the sun comes out
To light the sky
The smile you have
Is enough to make the angels cry
You’re the light in my eyes
You’re the fire in my heart
That can’t be put out
I hold her hands, and in my arms, she cries
She dreams she’ll be alright,
Dries her eyes within the sky,
You smile at me,
I’m smiling back
Can’t you see?

Great write
Deep emotions there. The pain of loosing someone so dear is well captured in simple words.
