Serendipity

Sassy Lou

Paths crossed just by chance

I knew I liked you from just one glance

Falling hard and falling fast

Like the sands in an hourglass

Slow dancing in the dark of night

It’s your love that held me tight

Butterflies fluttering fast

Heart pounding more rapidly

There it was -

Just you and me

Had my heart unlike anyone before

Yet, you played with my heartstrings

Just like the others and more

Letting you go and moving on

Twenty years pass by

Full circle come around

When I came back to that town

Looking into your eyes and there it was

Butterflies fluttering fast

Heart pounding more rapidly

Here come all the memories

Could this be our second chance -

Or just to reminisce on times past?

It’s your love

I want to hold it tight

Let’s take a chance

And see if we can get it right
