A Lover and Beloved

Abdullah123

The Lover and the Beloved

The lover told me that one can't die from rejection,
later on he died from being rejected.
A lover's soul feeds on craze,
and sleeps on mortal love, he said.
The lover's grave is with his beloved,
life for him is hell without his beloved, he said.

This is the love which is born in the heart of the lover,
Crazy is what people call the lover.
But the lover doesn't care about what is said,
in his love he remains steadfast .
I admire this lover, and despise him as well.
I admire this lover's love for his beloved,
Yet I despise this lover's beloved.

I too, then, shall be carried away by this love,
I too shall love my beloved with the lover's love,
but different is my Beloved from the lover's beloved,
my Beloved is the Sacred and Glorified Beloved.
