Alone

mtrotter1

Most people don't care about the roses, but I do

And the lonely cat lazes on the grass

There is a deeper meaning to this life

And beauty resides in it all,

Behold! My feelings are in a box

Sparkling bright for everyone to see

And my pearls are deeper than my mansion

I envisioned in my head,

So what's the point in being alone

As the tides stand still?

My head is my only sanctuary

And I am a starving artist constantly thinking

And love is a leftover heartbreak

That's been sitting in the fridge too long;

Oh do you love me, loverboy?

Do you see my value for what it is?

For my heart can't take any more of this treason!

For poetry is racking my brain

And the photosynthesis that is light

Bares my undying soul,

I would love to meet you someday

If only I were near...

For love is a distant fellow of fellows

It sees me, but it really doesn't

For love is complicated

And it is rarely in the 5D,

Well at least in my world anyway...

And alone I climb the stairs

All the way to the top,

For I am a lonely mountain

In this world of disloyalty,

Will I ever have a victory?

For being alone is bleak...
