The Autumn Tree

TobaniNataiella

The Autumn Tree.

As the trees shimmer in the bright autumn sun.

Summers work has ended, and hibernation has now begun.

As the leaves start to waltz and tango in the air.

The tree prepares to leave itself open and bare.

The leaves settle forming a thick brittle golden carpet.

The cycle starting, nature getting to work.

The shy squirrel is exposed as he plays with his nuts.

Greedy little thing never looks like he has had enough.

Large numbers of Magpies gather for their annual meeting.

A deafening noise as to each other they offer their greetings.

Existing nests vacated, relocated to where the sun still shone.

Returning next year to deliver and raise their newborn.

As the trees slowly goes to sleep and stands dormant.

It would appear nothing is happening over the cold winter months.

Below ground it is busy preparing Its regeneration and next years growth.

Where once again they will put on a magnificent show.

The buds will slowly grow into a brand-new canopy.

Offering again a range of birds a summer home for free.

All aspects of nature will be displayed by the trees.

In a cure for the eyes nature's beauty.
