Notice of absence from Qurrathul Ain
I'm taking a break for a while, for no specific reason. Maybe because, I don't get as much inspirations as I used to.
I'm taking a break for a while, for no specific reason. Maybe because, I don't get as much inspirations as I used to.
Oh, Lord! Oh, my Lord!
The All-Knowing!
The All-Merciful!
All the pain prior to this,
Is nothing,
Nothing compared to now.
How could he not know?
He of all people should have known!
How could he even ask me?
I've no other resort,
Other than You,
Until then I'll work on,
صبر جميل
Beautiful patience and endurance.
I've realized that,
None can help me,
Except You.
Therefore, I surrender,
I submit my case,
Entirely to You.

- Comment from author about the poem: I tried to imagine myself in the shoes of Ayesha (RA) - the wife of our last prophet (SAWS), when a rumor about her was spread around, which threatened to degrade her honor and made even her closest ones - mistrust and think ill of her. But in the end, she was cleansed of all the blame by The One above seven heavens Himself. صبر جميل means beautiful patience.
