THE PARTING GIFTS

Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke

Notice of absence from Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke
I will surely get back to you when I come online.

I have tried to walk away
from my exes,
But I'm caught in the web
of our beautiful memories.

After dating many trousers,
Whose skills in bedmatics
are impulsive and impressive,
But not ready to walk me home.

Today I wed a brother
whose spirituality can't stimulate
my carnality,
In courtship, he speaks in strange tongues
without worshipping my thighs.

All nights, I chat with my ex,
He brings back some old memories,
Inviting me for parting gifts,
That my coming will make me cum.

A night to our wedding,
I emotionally visited an ex,
Who took me to cloud nine,
I wish he's the man to walk me home.

Should I tell my husband-to-be
that I have cheated?
No, I will live with this guilt forever,
Telling him will shatter my new home.

Two months after wedding,
I was heavy laden,
And the seed in me is of my ex,
This secret will surely die with me,
Except, if science exposes me,
Then I will humble my knees to priest and man.
