Trapped in a lies noose

Maplespal

Trapped in a lies noose

They tell you to look ahead,

and see the blue sky there for thee.

They listen to none of the words said,

it is too cloudy for your eyes to see.

They tell you it will turn out right,

it will be but a bump in life’s road.

You are blind to their clear skied sight,

watching each bolt of lightening unfold.

They tell you to wait and quietly die,

quietly fade into a darkened night.

Giving up, you patiently wait to comply,

shrouded from their blue skied sight.

They tell you misplaced truths and lies,

twisting stories for their comfort to tell.

While your inner self breaks down and cries,

wanting out of this destructive unwanted hell.

They tell you what they want you to hear,

what they have conjured up for your sight.

All the lies and twisted words in your ears,

all while standing in a clouded plight.

They tell you to look ahead,

wait patiently and just comply.

Enjoy the blue skies they said,

just wait for yourself to die.
