Broken Glass

River123

To copy art on broken glass

The artist prays for rain.

A future paints a lonely past .

Hoping love is more than just a stain

On a long forgotten pain

That changes the colour of a lonely lane

Of mind

Portraits of unfinished tasks

Sculpture of a sneering mask.

Stars walk in a  crying  dark.

The face conceals a burning mark.

Running towards a lonely park

Of mind.

Crying for a thought that forgets itself

And leaves alone the cobwebs that should be brushed away.

For if they return at night in dreams

That turns beauty into the sound  of screams

The echo of words that paint portrays

On canvases of the thought that stays

In mind .
