I have spent hours of day and night,
Buried in books, pages, and poems,
Looking for the secrets hidden in the unseen,
Still, failed to do so have I.
I have read works, talking about divination,
Works of Love and divine reunion,
I have read works of an enlightened writer,
Yet, failed to reach that enlightenment have I.
I have seen through the eyes of travelers,
Eyes of feared conquerors and peasants,
I have seen through the eyes, who saw a Divine veil,
Yet, failed to see that Veil have I.
Apparent to me is light in all its spectrums,
Obvious is the night as it encompasses the shadows,
I have seen the moment, of both at the same time.
Yet, failed to understand it fully am I.
I have studied deep into the texts of Vedas,
Studied the Christian Bible and Torah,
I have studied in detail the Verses of the Quran,
Yet, failed to comprehend its secrets am I.
Read have I, understood have I,
yet dumb, deaf and blind am I.
