How can something lifeless appear so full of life?
There it lies, the lifeless matter, gleaming in its vibrant colors.
Fiery reds, oranges, and yellows that captivate the onlooker.
All these colors it takes on make the matter seem so alive that the observer forgets it is lifeless.
There they lie, the different husks, reminding the onlooker that death can be something so beautiful.
They remind us of the various cycles of life. Just as there is birth, there is also death.
All life has drained from them, yet they appear so vibrant, lying there in their varied forms and colors.
The matter looks even more alive when touched by the late autumn sun.
All life has left them, yet they could not be more beautiful.
The lifeless matter, lying there, shining in its array of colors. Waiting for the next cycle of life.
Fiery reds, oranges, and yellows.
-
The lifeless leaves of autumn.
