child, what do you hear?

DeadRose

Child, what do you hear?

The soft lull

of the dove when the sun

Rises with jeweled tones

And your dark eyes face the rays

child why do you wonder?

Seasons passed, flowers grew, then waned.

The flowers died. couldn't be helped, I'm afraid.

One flower daisy joy

One flower violet sorrow

One flower rose of passion

One flower peony delicate

One flower hibiscus bold

Dead dead dead dead dead.

Why did you let it all die?

What shall you live for now, my child?

Child, what do you hear?

The luring call

of the crow when the moon shines

with silver? call

away your black thoughts face the sun

child why do you wonder?
