Alone

E Naughton

Like the world itself,

I spin,

While it thanks it's lucky stars for the sun once a day.
My own eternal night holds many stars,
But none so blue.

Darkness gazes into empty minds,
Hoping for bliss,
But ignorance has drifted past me,
As I float like a rock, unmoored.
