Legend of the Blast

Matthew R. Callies

There once was a wrestler named Drew,
Who fought like a champion true,
But in one tough bout,
He let something out,
A mishap that nobody knew.

The crowd cheered as Drew held his ground,
But soon came an ominous sound,
A rumble so loud,
It silenced the crowd,
And Drew felt his courage unbound.

He twisted and grappled with might,
But something just wasn’t quite right,
His stomach did churn,
And he felt a hot burn,
As he squeezed with all of his might.

Then suddenly, out it did fly,
Like rockets that lit up the sky,
His foe looked aghast,
As Drew moved so fast,
But not for a victory high.

The mat turned a shocking new hue,
As Drew’s gut unleashed something blue,
The ref called it off,
And tried not to scoff,
While fans ran away from the view.

Poor Drew tried to flee with his pride,
But no way that disaster could hide,
His teammates stood still,
With shock and goodwill,
But inside, they all laughed till they cried.

Now legends are told of that day,
When Drew had no choice but to spray,
His wrestling dreams,
In brown, messy streams,
That left all his rivals dismayed.

But Drew rose again from the fray,
Embraced what had happened that day,
For though he had slipped,
And yes, he had dripped,
He’s known as "The Blast" to this day!
