The Final Tavern

Abdullah123

What a journey it has been, the traveler exclaims,
as he nears the end, at the final tavern.
He does not know what awaits him beyond,
yet he stumbles blindly in a new dawn.

I watch him from the other side, and question within-
asking myself if he is really prepared for what awaits?
For eternity, he has roamed in confusion, exhausted in flight,
perhaps at the long last, the server shall be able to incite

And if so, the server shall still last, waiting for another with wine,
but the traveler shall now succumb, his journey, for nothing in twine.
