That day's call

Maplespal

That day's call

There was a time that stalled,

that day that you never called.

The day I felt so ignored alone,

as I waited silently by the phone.

That day I waited for your word,

a call to me you promised, assured.

The want and need constantly fought,

your phone call is all my mind sought.

That day at my phone a desperate stare,

waiting for your insight to me to share.

There was a time I patiently waited,

for that phone call you stated,

would easy my minds confusion,

dissipate the desperate delusions.

The wrong number I gave you,

only after did this come into view.

Where your inspiring call went?

That day my phone stayed silent.

A great set up to the story in this poem. We often blame others for our own mistakes what a great message and told so well. Lovely
