Sunrise Reverie

gray0328

Apricot and pumpkin splashes

Blackberry clouds smudge the light

Morning blushes sunflower rays

Upon sapphire grey waves below

Seagulls carve paths in silence

Through terracotta’s open arms

Toffee skyline crumbles apart

Stars vanish with diamond sighs

Ripples unfold in the stillness

A day's birth wrapped in flame's hue

Each wave a whispered promise

Of light’s slow ascent again
