Cold it is

Maplespal

Cold it is

The frost takes hold throughout the night,

the frozen thaws when the sun shines bright.

The views of the cold frozen whitened trees,

there is a slight chill moving with the breeze.

Extra time needed to warm our hearts,

to warm our vehicles before we depart.

Extra layers pulled, worn to fight the chill,

unfortunately, it's to work we go still.

It might just be my age, I'm old,

this morning is double coffee cold.
