Doggerel Dave

Notice of absence from Doggerel Dave
Not absent - still here!
Keep Calm and Carry On Poeming. 😂

Antipodean media inform us of a stoush anything but sepia but rather toned as louche.

There are stories everywhere. I know more of one contender than really I can bear; certainly more than of my mother. While the other toned as bad, again I know more than I knew of my dad (besides my dad weren't..). And further we are told that whomsoever should win, will change the world.

Yet I don’t get to vote. Though all in the same boat, the world must await its fate. All this so difficult to relate, I lost all sense of form, gave up amidst the storm.

  • Comment from author about the poem: "That's all, folks!" (may I just add - to clarify - I wish it were, but the US elections are still a week away.... At roughly the same time I asked another poet to clarify their subject - oh the irony!)

In the US election this would apply. Who do you vote for if your choice is Hitler or Mao?

        • Doggerel Dave

Yeh - certainly neither...... Confirming this is about the US elections and its presence in the Australian media.

There is always a risk if you sign up to Ancestry and submit ya DNA that summat or someone from the distant past will throw a spanner in the works .. or am I completely barking and off target ..

Completely. Methought this was a simple proposition. As I pointed out to Soren, who appeared equally, but I fear deliberately, confused, This was simply a register of the amount of space devoted to the US Elections in the Aussi media and the consequent threat that the result would have in repercussions throughout the world.

Interested in your take on Ancestry - often wondered if I should... ...?
