Near The Shore

Young Fella

Near the Shore

Day 5

The journey comes to a close,
My dearest friend, the shore is near.
In two days, your ship will touch land,
And I, your friend, wait,
Eyes fixed on the horizon you approach.

You left  a lost paradise to discover another,

A found paradise
For heaven isn’t bound to place
Your heart holds it whole, a wondrous space.

Your return brings happiness home,
Butterflies light up the garden once again.

Day five feels heavy, my dear,
Lend me your hand, draw close to my lips,
Approach me as your ship nears the shore.

You, my passenger, my friend, my partner,
Co-pilot and captain,
My love, my sister, sparring soul,
Colleague, wife, my lady,
Princess, queen, little girl,
My everything, my completeness

What are you, truly?

Waiting for you…
