The War Drags On

Kevin Hulme

The bold fact is the Wars continuous;

It’s the same fight that’s been boiling for years .

One Country knocked over another Country’s drink             or stared at the others Girlfriend .

There’s been the odd lull for Tea and Biscuits ,

But after that it all starts up again ,

But now different names in the Programme ,

Different flag saluted up the pole

The old game of ‘I’m right and you are wrong’,

Some forever kneeling in the wrong Church.

Who pays the Tab at the end of it all?

Wives, Mothers, Fathers to fill nights with tears.
