A Whole Truth, Eternal, Source Of All

Mohammad younus koul

A whole truth, eternal, source of all
A constant presence, yet often unknown.
Generates our thoughts,
Our dreams, our hopes and fears,
Yet He is known not but by a whisper in our ears.

I am the canvas that has made
on which He has drawn His own image,
I am the stage on which he spawns the story of His creation.
He has in my files stored His memories,
His creation, annihilation and recreation
Yet He is as fleeting from me as the morning star.

He is the breath that fills my lungs,
The spark that ignites my soul's light.
He is the fire that burns within me,
The voice that guides me through thick and thin.

He is the essence of my being,
The very core of my seeing, hearing, speech and thought
I am the answer to the riddle I seek,
The truth that lies within, and without me
What am I? And what is He?
