I couldn’t believe my feet went passed the door.
Without a clue what I had to know;
the room felt as if it were a frozen dream
with voices that echoed.
Then I sat with an uncontrollable knee shake,
as others ruffled their papers
to take my sanity’s last break.
“Alright, let’s get started.”
I knew my phony markings were going to boil me,
but the person next to me, he seemed cold.
He was as cold as an astute devotee can be.
He was flying through any uncertainty,
while I was loitering in it.
I decided my best chance at beating my problem
was to fly with him, but to say I flew on my own.
*gulp - shoe squeak - stomach rumbling
My body was trying its best to clip my wings.
Things were going well until I saw
he was on a different wavelength,
one wavelength ahead as a matter of fact.
And the frozen dream returned.
Everyone was frozen,
frozen and flying.
While I boiled,
aimlessly rotting.
