THE VICTIM II

Annasthecia Joy Bissan

Oh! In cold blood they wasted a soul,
Aloud I cried a river,
Will the ground they step on accept them?
No, No, No! I doubt if it would,
Even the non-living sees the evil,
They cry out for vengeance.

A heart-felt shock to the body,
Have you really gone to rest?
Will i still wait in return for you?
Will the labour of your mind be wasted just in the forest?
Will you allow every 21st July be in remembrance of you?
Will our friendship anniversary always be  celebrated by one person instead of two?
Oh! Will my questions have answers soon or till in paradise?

I cried, who will have my back to cry on?
Who will trust me more of a sister than a friend?

At the end i always smile,
I smile because i know you smile,
I smile because destiny is not fulfilled here on earth but will be fulfilled in paradise,
I smile because i see you smile with me always.
