The break up

My heart feels like it's on fire,

Burning deeply.

You made me bring down the walls

I built, even after sharing everything about

my life with you,

and then you  still walked away.

I let my guard down and placed my trust in you.

This separation has brought me anxiety and depression,

leaving me feeling lonely , lost , and confused

I’m at a loss on what to do next.

As I pass through your home and see you with someone new, it feels as if I've been forgotten .

Yet, I realize that perhaps everyone was right; I was meant to be lonely.
