The Government that’s best Poem, by Kevin Hulme, at My poetic side

And then I think;

The Government that’s best for the Country it seems,

Are the Magicians in Opposition,

they’ll secure our dreams.

They know what’s gone wrong, have the cure to put right,

The Answers they have to every problem in sight.

For they are the Party to sort out this mess ,

It’s Sunshine ahead for the People no less.

But once they’re in power it’s like nothing has changed,

The Rich Get Richer and the Poor get drained.

Now problems build up and the Headlines all scream:

’This lot are the worst that the People have seen’.

And then I think ;

The Government that’s best for the People it seems,

Are the Magicians in Opposition, they’ll secure our dreams.

They know what’s gone wrong, have the cure to put right ...
