Slipped Away

My Boy Ryngkhlem

She slipped away like sand between fingers,
And lost in the undertow of another's love.
My heart is longing for that once full of life and song,
And with what could've been.

In your eyes, I can see
They're deep, then died
Leaving me with ashes of what we never tried,
And memories that slowly subside.

But still, I'll hold on to the fragments of our past,
The laughter, the tears that forever last,
The memories that echo through my mind,
And the love we left behind.

Your smile is what I to behold,
I'll chase, but yet never grasp,
And in your beauty, my dear, I'll find
A solace in memories that will forever last.
