I can't walk away now
For I have too much freedom
I spent most of my years
Feeling sorry for myself
Because the world watched me fail
And now, look at me
I am a drug free person
Ready to take on the world...
Yet I am blind in this world
For I can't see future heartbreaks
And I can't see the challenges ahead
There is a silver lining
I'm supposed to obtain
But where's the fun in that
If I'm in the unknown?
Deep waters test me all the time
Yet I won't drown
Because I'm highly resilient,
And resilience carries the peace within me
For I am whole within my truth
And truth wins all around,
Yet I am blind;
Blind to the world at large
My feelings are true
And there is this open revelry
That I pursue
Behold the stars that are blind too
For they see the invisible
Whatever the invisible may be.
A kiss is a kiss
If you deem me blind,
A kiss is a kiss
If you leave the world behind,
So where are the stars
If they aren't behind us?
Then we shall both be blind...I guess.
