Notice of absence from arqios
Be kind….
…. words don’t rewind
Be kind….
…. words don’t rewind
In the shadow that our hearts cast,
hatred blooms, a stubborn weed
where once grew a garden of trust.
Words, once tender,
shatter like glass,
a bridge collapsing under weight,
echoes of apologies
falling into silent abyss.
We deceive ourselves,
clutching memories like
fragments of a broken mirror,
forgetting the faces we wore,
the warmth that once held us close,
burying the past
in shallow graves.
A vast network unfurls,
circuitry of disconnection,
new bridges rise on the horizon,
but the arteries lie severed,
thoroughfares overgrown,
forgotten paths leading nowhere.
We navigate this labyrinth,
the ghosts of what was
whispering in the dark,
reminding us
that healing is a slow tide,
and some wounds
never truly mend.

Such diverted traffic wanders lost amongst the side roads. A most wonderful metaphor that speaks to broken relationships. Very nice Cryptic
Belatedly thanking you. What happened during this posting, lol. Tis the only one in this group that didn’t get a flame 🔥 lol
The flame has little to do with the quality of the poem. When they first started giving flames my first poem, didn’t get one either. I think it was posted at the wrong time to get enough views. The only thing about the flames is that if people see enough of them, they tend to read your work.
Oh, I see…. St. Elmo’s fire 🔥 haven’t seen one of those in years!
Thanks for the info, tough, now it’s all in perspective- the ‘sweet spot’ of MPS.
