The Park at Fall Afternoon

Kinsley Lee

A few days the fall rain, it ceased in the fall park
In the woods it smells fall, and it’s pleasant, the breeze
By the sunlight, it looks well on the park lane, the waymark.
And sometimes the dewdrops’re springkling from the trees

Between the clouds, clear is the sunlight,
And higher and higher every day
On the clear air, the mountain looks at the long sight.
And the more it glow, the autumn ray.

The red and yellow leaves are falling
With the fall wind and the light’s drizzling to eye
And warm in the afternoon, left leaves’re shining
On the boughs, but we know that time not for aye

The fall leaves are prettier than April flower
But we know that the day is short not long.
In the woods, on the newly elected temple towers
A bird is singing the prayer, his song.
