I ne'er wish'd to be dead

Rin the Magnificent

„I've got dreams, but I can't make myself believe them.
I'll spend the rest of my life with what could've been,
and I will die in the house that I grew up in.“ ~ Noah Kahan ('Homesick')

I ne'er wish'd to be dead
inside these walls lasting halls lost
lonely ghost embers dressing red
deceit in December and frost
melting melody of my end
I ne'er wish'd to be dead.

Beautiful words more beautiful in metaphor as one faces their mortality
