Daydream

TobaniNataiella

Daydream

As you close your eyes and start to dream.

Your problems appear to be a distant thing.

All the grey becomes very bright.

Out of the darkness comes the light.

See the sun arrive over the clouds.

The trees in blossom they are shroud.

Butterflies that are free to roam.

People happy in their own homes.

Children smiling and acting like clowns.

Only joy to be seen never any frowns.

Families playing games in the park.

Listening to the tune of the lonely lark.

Adults without a worry in the world.

As life before then lays unfurled.

There are answers to all the questions.

No sadness just honest reflection.

All ambitions are totally fulfilled.

No tears or anger are ever spilled.

Then someone shouts and startles you.

Then you realise all this just isn't true.
