first and only love poem

DeadRose

It is not as if i do not wish to marry,

No, i do,

but i don't.

But i do

But i dont

but I don't wish to

Get my hopes up or

Fret too much over it. For you see,

I know my creator promised me

Placed on this earth, perhaps seas and oceans

Away from me, my other half.

I sometimes wonder who this… perfect person is.

I will always see him as perfect, even in this life,

No matter what struggles we face because this world

Is not our home, no, for we are both travelers.

And travelers are bound to get a bit irritable sometimes

So i will forgive the shortcomings, i will be there to care for you,

To listen, to talk to, to caress your hair and humor you

With my little jokes. And i shall strive to forever try to

Bring us closer to god.

Not only such, but i will also bake you the sweetest desserts,

And if you are not one for such sweet things, i shall tease you lightly

And make something ten times better. You shall also receive my never ending

Childish curiosity. So be prepared to have a girl who will follow you everywhere

Anywhere, all the where, and I will want to learn whatever you have to teach.

read for me from the book, our book, one book

sent to humanity millennia ago, I shall want to listen to you recite,

lie my head down next to you, as you speak and I shall listen

listen listen listen keep my ears open and my eyes trained on you.

I shall talk, as i do with any person I truly love. I shall talk, and talk, and talk,

I shall talk for hours, because it is a habit I cannot shake. You will be blessed with

Random tidbits of knowledge, here and there, that I have collected. Such is my nature,

A crow will bring the shiniest things back to its nest,

A cat will proudly bring home its owner whatever food it caught,

A child will eagerly show their parents a drawing they created.

My nature is such that i am [mostly] independent. So some days i shall be here,

There, in the garden, in the trees, on the roof, under the bed.

But you will find me. Unless i decide to play a little bit of hide and seek. In that case,

Check outside.

i shall be laying under the stars.

So i shall also play pranks,

small pranks,

lighthearted ones.

I will want to see you laugh.

But what i want for now will be sedated.

For i shall play the waiting game

Bide my time until we are fated to meet.

Here i shall silently fret over myself,

how i can be the best version of myself.

For you, and i, shall one day

Cross paths.
