Leaving

Leonardo Abreu

the silence between me and you has never had
any meaning
for a brief moment
it was love.

when the blue of your eyes
touched the deepest of my soul
when the rain cessed to
exist
and the sky opened up, colored like your eyes

I cried.

I cried for not being able to see myself

never.

ever.

through these saddened
reddish eyes

the flowers that lies in fields
green with life
in the wind will softly hear
the breeze whispering

goodbye...
goodbye...
goodbye.

A sad poem about a lost love. Very well constructed and full of great lines. It touched a spot in my heart. _ Phil A.
