time is getting near when santa makes his call
with his sack of presents down your chimney he will crawl
delivering his gifts for all the girls and boys
beneath the christmas tree he will stack the toys
christmas stockings full of sweets and different things
happiness and joy santa always brings
children having fun on a christmas day
happy as can be as they play away

The lead up to Christmas an exciting time for children. Your poem brought back many happy memories Jim. Memories of my own childhood and that of my own daughter and my grandchildren. A lovely poem. I took a break because there was alot going on and I needed a breather. All good wishes to you.

with there own children now
