Love is like a Nettle Sting,
But soft as down on a Angel’s Wing.
Love is Bright like the Dawning Sun,
But vague at times like a Storm-Cloud spun.
Love is long and can fondle the Moon,
Stay ever so near and sweeten a Room.
Love is loud and can frighten the ear,
And so terribly quiet as to bring on a tear.
Love is Coloured like a Rain Bending-Bow,
And Grey at times with a Heart feeling low.
And Love is you in all it’s light-
A World of joy where Eyes excite.
