SHOOTING STAR

Qurrathul Ain

Notice of absence from Qurrathul Ain
I'm taking a break for a while, for no specific reason. Maybe because, I don't get as much inspirations as I used to.

Like a shooting star,

Striking across my dark dark sky,

Blinding my eyes for a moment,

Filling my life with so much light,

Giving a reason to smile.

Unlike a shooting star,

This landed right in front of me,

That's when I decided,

There could be nothing,

Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing!

Better than this for me after all.

Because you were the one,

I was waiting for all along.

It is so true. It is strong emotions that fuel poetry once in a great while this may come from love passion, but more frequently it comes from pain, very nicely ripped.

I feel you, sadness is so easily put into words, it creates a tempest in our mind. But happiness just leaves us speechless and peaceful.
