my fingers ache
from holding yours
hands are blistered
scratched from your stubble
and pulsing with the simple ecstasy
of holding your chin in my palms
my arms
are blue
blood circulation cut off long ago
by the weight of your body
loving you
might kill me someday
i might starve to death
determined never to leave this moment
i might suffocate
my heart might finally be so calm
it stops beating altogether
i'm not used to being calm
but you make me forget
what it's like to feel anything else
i'm still bruised
and scarred
but you stopped the bleeding
you stopped the dulling agony
you already know
i'm wrapped around your little finger
i might die
but i think i'll be okay with it
if i'm with you
i would do anything
for you.
