I love shark,
the innocent beings
wrongly judged.
sharp teeth,
scary eyes,
but still,
beautiful creatures.
But, hey, look closer
they are gentle here,
like us, misunderstood
seen for only flaws,
and what's feared.
They're fierce, yes,
but also calm,
like me in thought.
Their strength mistaken for threat,
but under that strength,
lies something softer yet.
They, like me, are more
than shadows in blue,
strong yet gentle and calm,
through and through.
Not monsters, but misunderstood.

- Comment from author about the poem: I was called a "monster" for not showing emotions and not being good at expressing myself. But hey, I love sharks!
