The Business Propsal!

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

Mellan has made it to Quechee Vermont right on time! At the Quechee Gorge is where he meets Bri! They head to Bri’s home on Woodstock Road. “Mellan!” Bri says with excitement! “I’ve got a some business to propose. Mellan isn’t sure he’s ready to hear what this is about. The drive up to Vermont has tired him out. “Do you mind if I eat first and maybe unwind?” “I know you’re busy, but I’m just getting here Bri.” Brian is in control of rental properties. “No problem.” Bri says impatiently. “Alright buddy I know that tone all too well.” “What’s going on?” “Do tell.” “I’ve got a rental that could use a fresh face.” “Someone with talent and skill.” “It’s a quaint place.” “This woman named Meara is arriving later tonight.” “She needed inspiration for her next book to write.” Mellan can’t leave his best man hanging by a thread. After all Bri has done so much for him. Mellan decides to help him out but just for one night. Want to hear how it goes? Come back next time.

  • Comment from author about the poem: These facts can be found online. Two important facts about Quechee Vermont. 1.” The name comes from the Ottauquechee River which means “swift mountain stream.” In the native Indian language.” 2.” Quechee was a mill town from its inception until the 60’s. Mills were built along the Ottauquechee River which provided power for production of lumber, fabrics, brick, and cider.”
