Little Robin

Caring dove

I sit here sighing , sadly missing me

a disconnect

and a tired blue feeling

looking out to the greens

I see red Robin

little Robin with warmth

on the colour that sings so softly

from her presence

and I feel a sense

of a smile

I’m glad I’ve seen her

but the sadness still is sighing somehow

but if I hadn’t have sat there then

I might have missed her today

  • Comment from author about the poem: I struggle with dissociation and earlier I felt a bit sad .. I also have been having a bit of a cold , but I saw the Robin earlier . If I didn’t sit there then I might have missed her today … beautiful birds

Wonderful write and it really is amazing how nature can really speak to us at the right moments. Glad you were sitting there and got to see the robin today. Beautiful indeed! Excellent write!

Yes, a magpie helped me recently, then a crow another day. Crows are not ugly, as some say.
